History of Servant Leadership

As a proud homeowner and resident of Meridian Township for 24 years, I'm deeply invested in our community's well-being. I'm seeking to serve you once again as your Meridian Township Trustee, bringing extensive experience and involvement in township governance.

With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Development and a Master of Science Degree in Administration from CMU, along with a MSU Fellowship in the Michigan Political Leadership Program, I have the educational background to serve effectively. I've also taught Political Science at Saginaw Valley State University.

Previously, I served a four-year term as a Meridian Township Trustee, which ended in 2016. I've twice served on the Township Planning Commission, actively participated in formulating two Township Master Plans, and served as an Ingham County Road Commissioner.

Additionally, I've received training from both the Michigan Townships Association and the Michigan Chapter of the American Planning Association to enhance my understanding of township governance.

Politically, I served as the chairperson of the Meridian Democratic Club, later as an Executive Board member, and as a campaign manager/advisor for many elected officials within our community.

Furthermore, my decade of service as a Union Steward and Union Vice President, coupled with my fifteen years as a State Administrator, have equipped me with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate the complexities of township governance effectively.

With deep roots in Meridian Township, combined with experience, education, and dedication to community development, I am well-equipped to contribute as your Trustee.
